Woodford’s Fire, July, 2003

Woodford suffered a serious fire in 2003. Part of the roof and attic were destroyed, windows were broken and the entire structure and collection suffered water and smoke damage. Because of an excellent fire detection system and a quick response by the fire department, Woodford and the Naomi Wood Collection were saved. After two years of restoration the house was reopened with an new, fresh, yet historically correct interpretation.
