Front Door

All of the doors and most of the woodwork in the stair were painted to look like mahogany (faux grained) during David Franks’ occupancy of Woodford. Faux graining during that time was very stylish and fashionable. Over time most of the woodwork has been stripped of its many paint layers. However, through historical paint analysis, original graining was revealed and served as the basis for the graining that was recently restored on the front door and the stair hall door.
